"Meet The Two-Deep" is an exclusive daily feature at texastech.com designed to allow Red Raider Nation to connect with this year's football team. The players in this feature made the official "two-deep" following spring practices, which means they will be competing for a starting spot when Texas Tech opens the 2011 football season at home against Texas State on Sept. 3. Check-in each morning at 10 a.m. (CT) on texastech.com and get to know a different member of your Red Raider football team.

"Hidden talents. I like to think I can sing, but I don't know if that's a hidden talent."
Who are some of the major influences for you on and off the field?
"On the field, is when my team mates get hyped, I get hyped, too. But off the field, it's my dad. He's always pushed me my whole life."
What has been the biggest difference for you personally from your first year at Tech to where you are now in your career?
"I think my maturity. I mean, when I first got here, I was lazy, trying to go with the flow. But I mean it has something to do with these new coaches, too. They brought a whole new mindset, just ready to work it out."
Give your personal message to the Red Raider Nation.
"Man, it's a new season, get ready because we gotta get everyone there this year."
