"Meet The Two-Deep" is an exclusive daily feature at texastech.com designed to allow Red Raider Nation to connect with this year's football team. The players in this feature made the official "two-deep" following spring practices, which means they will be competing for a starting spot when Texas Tech opens the 2011 football season at home against Texas State on Sept. 3. Check-in each morning at 10 a.m. (CT) on texastech.com and get to know a different member of your Red Raider football team.

What goes through your mind when running onto the field with the team on a gameday?
"Play every play like it's your last because really I mean everybody has a goal and wants to go to that next level and it all that's where it starts at so playing every play like it's your last and play for your teammates because you know they're doing the same for you."
What is your favorite thing about being a Red Raider?
"Favorite thing about being a Red Raider is my team. You know, there's no selfishness, there's no individuality nothing like that we all play for each other, we're a brotherhood, and you know, I'd die for my teammates so that's probably the best part."
Is there a motto or phrase you live by?
"Work everyday like it's your last because there is always somebody else in the country trying to be better than you."
What is your personal goal for this season?
"My personal goal for the season is to be a major impact on my team to help the team reach our goals for the season and our goals are to play for a big 12 championship and beyond maybe a BCS Bowl game or something like that but just to be a factor on my team."
Do you have any hidden talents?
"Hidden talents, I'm in a fraternity so I can hops, I can dance real good."
Who are some of the major influences in your life, both on and off the field?
"Major influences for me on and off the field are my mother and my father, I mean, because we've come a long from where I am today, and they've been with me every step of the way, but on the field really is Dwight Freeney, and people like that, Andre Mathis, because they have a non-stop motor and that's what they're known for."
What has been the biggest difference for you personally from your first year at Tech to where you are now in your career?
"The biggest difference is really that I have to understand, I mean, that I have to play every single play all day everyday because at the end of the day if you want to go to the next level that's what you have to do, play every play like it's your last."
Give your personal message to the Red Raider Nation.
"Red Raider fans I will tell you this right now, we are going to be very good next year, you have my word, we are going to bust our butt and play every play like it's our last we are going to flock to the football especially on defense and we're going to dominate, so expect a big year from us."
