Texas Tech Soccer, Volleyball Promotions Announced

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Athletics Department unveiled its promotions schedule Thursday for the upcoming Red Raider soccer and volleyball seasons which feature numerous giveaways, ticket offers, register-to-win opportunities, and check-in deals.
The Red Raider soccer team opens its home schedule at the John Walker Soccer Complex on Aug. 19 as Tech faces Rice in a 7 p.m. match. Tech returns to action two days later to battle New Mexico State at 7 p.m. on Aug. 21.
The Friday night match against the Owls will feature the "Cleat Collection" promotion where fans can receive free admission by donating a pair of gently used or new soccer cleats. The New Mexico State match will be "Faith and Family Day" as fans can purchase four tickets for only $10 by showing a church bulletin.
The Red Raiders open Big 12 play Sept. 23 against Missouri on Lubbock Soccer Association Appreciation Night where all league members and coaches wearing team jerseys receive complimentary admission. It is also a "Red and Black Attack" match as fans showing a football ticket stub for the Nevada game will also receive complimentary admission. All other fans wearing Tech apparel will receive $2 off admission.
Texas Tech fans can get their first look at the Red Raider volleyball program under new head coach Don Flora on Sept. 2 as the squad faces Central Arkansas at 2 p.m. and Northwestern State at 6 p.m. as part of the Texas Tech Invitational. Tickets for both matches will be only $1.
The Red Raiders will return to the court the following day to face Morehead State at 2 p.m. The match will be an exclusive event for Guns Up Club members who will be showcased with a special postmatch "Fun on the Court" session. Two club members will also be selected to shag balls during the prematch warm-ups with the team.
The Big 12 opener against Iowa State on Sept. 24 will be another "Red and Black Attack" match as all fans with a Nevada football ticket stub will receive complimentary admission. All other fans wearing Tech apparel will receive $2 off admission as well.
Registration is now open for the Guns Up Club, which offers fans in the eighth grade and under the opportunity to interact with student-athletes and gain free admission to many Texas Tech events. The cost to join is $25 and includes an official Guns Up Club t-shirt, membership card, email newsletter, annual birthday card from Raider Red, and prizes from Southwest Dairy Farmers. Olympic Sport Passes are also now available and include admission to all home soccer, volleyball, softball, and track and field events. Passes are $30 each or two for $50 and can be purchased online or by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at (806) 742-4412.
