"Meet The Two-Deep" is an exclusive daily feature at texastech.com designed to allow Red Raider Nation to connect with this year's football team. The players in this feature made the official "two-deep" following spring practices, which means they will be competing for a starting spot when Texas Tech opens the 2011 football season at home against Texas State on Sept. 3. Check-in each morning at 10 a.m. (CT) on texastech.com and get to know a different member of your Red Raider football team.

What goes through your mind when running onto the field with the team on a gameday?
"It's an amazing feeling, running out and seeing tens of thousands of fans screaming for the Red Raiders, just a great feeling, running out onto the field."
What is your favorite thing about being a Red Raider?
"My favorite thing about being a Red Raider is having an extra family. You can come in and talk to your guys. Any time you need anything, you can talk to your guys. They always have your back. Coaches, and everyone else, it's a team atmosphere."
Is there a motto or a phrase you live by?
"The only kind of ability is accountability."
What is your personal goal for this season?
"My personal goal for this season is to be one of the best players in Division I football, be one of the top defensive backs. Help our team to a Big 12 Championship and a nice bowl game."
Do you have any hidden talents?
"I can dance."
Who are some of the major influences in your life, both on and off the field?
"One of my major influences is one of my coaches growing up. His name is Alvin Chandler. He helped me through everything, guided me. He showed me the ways, helped me become a man. And another influence I'd have to name is my grandmother. She raised me to be a man, disciplined me growing up."
What has been the biggest difference for you personally from your first year at Tech to where you are now in your career?
" I had to sit out a year when I came in. Right now, it's a bigger deal, extremely hard because I have a chance to play in front of tens of thousands of fans, do something I've always dreamed about, going out there and enjoying the atmosphere of the Division I field and playing the best of the best in Division I football."
Give your personal message to Red Raider Nation.
"Be ready for a great season this year. We're excited for the season. Just be ready to come out and enjoy a great season!"
