"Meet The Two-Deep" is an exclusive daily feature at texastech.com designed to allow Red Raider Nation to connect with this year's football team. The players in this feature made the official "two-deep" following spring practices, which means they will be competing for a starting spot when Texas Tech opens the 2011 football season at home against Texas State on Sept. 3. Check-in each morning at 10 a.m. (CT) on texastech.com and get to know a different member of your Red Raider football team.

What goes through your mind when running onto the field with the team on a gameday?
"Running onto the field with the team during gameday just takes your breath away. It is such a great experience, all those fans out there, and it's something you can't really put in words."
What is your favorite thing about being a Red Raider?
"I just love the community, really, out here in Lubbock. It is way different than where I am from over on the east side of Texas. It is just great people and great family and all that stuff out here is awesome."
Is there a motto or a phrase you live by?
"Just to give it all. If you don't give everything you are wasting time. Don't ever waste time."
What is your personal goal for this season?
"My personal goal for the season is to work my way up to starting if that's, if I am not starting by the beginning of the season."
Do you have any hidden talents?
"I am pretty good at fishing. That is not very hard but I can reel them in."
Who are some of the major influences in your life, both on and off the field?
"I would have to say my dad, on and off. He played college sports also, he played basketball. Off the field he kind of taught me how to be a real good man, so on and off the field. "
What has been the biggest difference for you personally from your first year at Tech to where you are now in your career?
"Really just having the family up here at Tech. When I first got up here I was a little nervous because I didn't really know anybody but it has grown into this great family. That the only way to put it, a family."
Give your personal message to Red Raider Nation.
"Great ready for a great season Red Raider Nation. Put your guns up!"
