"Meet The Two-Deep" is an exclusive daily feature at texastech.com designed to allow Red Raider Nation to connect with this year's football team. The players in this feature made the official "two-deep" following spring practices, which means they will be competing for a starting spot when Texas Tech opens the 2011 football season at home against Texas State on Sept. 3. Check-in each morning at 10 a.m. (CT) on texastech.com and get to know a different member of your Red Raider football team.

What goes through your mind when running onto the field with the team on a gameday?
"I guess it just starts at the tunnel, just touching the saddle it's just an adrenaline rush and, you know, once you go down that tunnel and go through that smoke it's time to play for the fans, and you just let everything go and just play."
What is your favorite thing about being a Red Raider?
"Besides football, I guess being in the Big 12, just, you know, being around my brothers all day because that's basically who I'm working with everyday throughout the year."
Is there a motto or a phrase you live by?
"Yeah, that's pretty simple, `just work' you know, me, Detron, (Lewis) (Tramain) Swindall and (Rashad) Hawk, when we first came in that's what we lived by, so that's our motto."
What is your personal goal for this season?
"Just go out there and compete, you know, we're trying to win the Big 12 Championship or the conference championship, and just win every game one game at a time."
Do you have any hidden talents?
"I don't know man, I just do everything any sport I just do it all."
Who are some of the major influences in your life, both on and off the field?
"Off the field I'd say my parents, and also I like how Tubs (Tuberville) brought in the chaps, (chaplains) you know, Adam and Mr. Graham, I think they help us a lot in different areas on and off the field"
What has been the biggest difference for you personally from your first year at Tech to where you are now in your career?
"I guess the biggest difference really, is the new coaches they brought in I think we're working better and working together more and just working harder I think they've got a whole lot of new stuff for us and it's just better and we're just working it, using it."
Give your personal message to Red Raider Nation.
"Just sit back and buckle in and get ready for a new season, this is going to be a brand new season and we're better and we're just ready to do bigger things this year, it's going to be a great ride."
