The Texas Tech baseball team completed its 2011 Character Builders on Wednesday morning. Character Builders are three conditioning sessions that begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Every member of the Texas Tech baseball team participated, something that takes place before any individual or team activity.
The team stretch would begin at 6 a.m. and about 15 minutes later the first station began. The stations consisted of speed and agility, strength training, weight room squats and walking lunges for lower body, pushing and pulling sleds, tires, etc., in the outfield for resistance speed training while all of these exercises would change daily.
Each station lasted 12 minutes with everyone in the group depending on one-another to successfully complete each station.
After the third day, 47 Red Raider baseball players completed over 144 minutes of intense physical workouts that will lead to the success of their 2012 season.
