TEXAS TECH - IOWA STATE SERIES
This will be the 20th meeting between the two programs with Iowa State geting the edge in the all-time series at 10-9 following a 66-49 win in Ames on Jan. 22. Texas Tech won last year's only meeting between the two teams, 61-50 in Lubbock. Tech is 8-3 against Iowa State in Lubbock. Last year's win ended a five-game losing streak in the series to ISU.
PLAY 4 KAY
The Texas Tech women's basketball team is proud to take part in breast cancer awareness month and play its "PINK" game today against Iowa State. The Lady Raiders will be sporting special pink Under Armour uniforms and will have several ways of raising money during the game for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Play 4Kay is an opportunity for a nation of coaches to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The official charity is the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in partnership with The V Foundation and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
800 AND COUNTING
Texas Tech will raise its 800 Win Banner at halftime of Sunday's game against Iowa State. Tech won its 800th game on Nov. 26, 2011 with a 76-43 win over Central Arkansas. With the win, Tech became only the 15th NCAA women's basketball program to win at least 800 games in program history.

SEASON SWEEP
Texas Tech's 76-49 win over Missouri on Feb. 5 earned the program its first regular season sweep over a team since the 2006-07 season when the Lady Raiders beat Oklahoma State twice. Tech beat Missouri, 69-63, in Columbia on Jan. 7.
WHAT A RUN
The Lady Raiders had their biggest scoring run of the season on Feb. 5 against Missouri. Tech trailed 17-15 with 10:24 to go in the first half before going on a 26-2 run that went into the first for minutes of the second half to give the it a 41-19 lead over Missouri.
TOUGH ON THE BOARDS
Texas Tech held Missouri to just four offensive rebounds on Feb. 5 and continues to be one of the conference leaders on the boards. The Lady Raiders are second in the conference with 17.1 offensive rebounds per game and are second in conference play with a 70.6 defensive rebound percentage.
LEADING THE WAY
Junior guard Monique Smalls is fourth in the conference with 69 steals this season for Texas Tech, who leads all Big 12 teams with 265 steals. Smalls leads the Big 12 and is also second in the nation in assists-to-turnover ratio at 2.75.
MORRIS STEPPING UP
Junior Casey Morris led Texas Tech in scoring in two consecutive games to come out of a three-game slump. She hit 50 percent from the field in both games, scoring 15 against Texas A&M and 14 against Missouri. Morris led Tech with six defensive rebounds against Missouri to help hold the Tigers to just four offensive rebounds as a team.
MALLARD RETURNS
Texas Tech senior forward Kierra Mallard returned to the court for her first game minutes since the end of the Iowa State game on Jan. 22. She missed two consecutive games with an undisclosed injury before returning in the first half against Texas A&M. She finished with 8 points and 6 rebounds then scored 10 points and had 9 rebounds against Missouri on Feb. 5.
BARNCASTLE EMBRACING STARTING ROLE
Senior forward Jordan Barncastle started for the fourth consecutive time this season. It's the first time she's started in consecutive games since last season. Barncastle finished with 6 points and led the team with 11 rebounds against Oklahoma State. She started her first game this season, scoring 19 points with 10 rebounds, on Jan. 28 against Texas. It was her first double-double since Nov. 21, 2008 against Lamar - her third game and first career start at Tech. She started her first game since Jan. 22, 2011 (at Baylor).
REMEMBERING Judith Smith
On January 26, 2012, the Texas Tech women's basketball program lost a member of its family when former Lady Raider Judith Smith passed away at the age of 25. Smith played at Texas Tech from 2004-06 for Hall of Fame head coach Marsha Sharp, and played in 27 games as a freshman, averaging five points per game with a season-high 14 against Baylor. In her final season in 2005-06, Smith averaged 3.7 points per game in 15 games.

OKLAHOMA STATE 53, TEXAS TECH 49
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Liz Donohoe and Toni Young scored 11 points each to lead four Cowgirls in double figures as Oklahoma State held off a late Texas Tech rally to win 53-49.
Texas Tech (16-7, 4-7 Big 12) never could pull out of its deficit completely, coming within two points several times during the game - three times in the last 10 minutes of the game. The Lady Raiders shot just 33.3 percent to Oklahoma State's 35.1 percent.
Oklahoma State (13-7, 5-6) jumped out to a 17-6 lead with 6:47 remaining in the first half as the Lady Raiders hit just three of its first 16 shots and turned the ball over nine times. Tech ended the game with 17 turnovers and still found ways to get back in the game.
Tech outscored OSU 25-16 over the next 16 minutes into the second half to pull within two at 33-31 with 10:43 remaining in the game. But each time Tech got a basket from leading scorer Chynna Brown, the Cowgirls appeared to have an answer. Oklahoma State would pull back out to an eight-point lead on the heels of a 7-1 run and held off two late 3-pointers by Casey Morris and Jordan Barncastle to close out the game at the free throw line.
Brown led Tech with 16 points - her second-highest point total this season - while Monique Smalls ended the game with nine points, eight rebounds and four assists. Barncastle added six points and led with 11 rebounds.
NOBLES DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Texas Tech sophomore forward Shauntal Nobles started her sixth game of the season on Sunday, scoring 12 points with 4 rebounds. She scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season against Texas on Jan. 28. She had 10 points and 12 rebounds against Texas State on Nov. 30.
HOMECOURT ADVANTAGE
Texas Tech's crowd of 10,411 packed the United Spirit Arena on Jan. 28 for the arena's second-largest crowd of the season. There were 12,403 at last week's game against No. 1 Baylor. Tech is averaging 7,708 fans per game at United Spirit Arena (12 games) which is 3rd in the Big 12 Conference and 7th nationally.
