
Lytle Makes Season Debut With US U-23 National Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - Former Texas Tech standout midfielder Taylor Lytle made her debut on the U.S. U-23 National Team in its 2-0 win over Sweden Monday.
The win came in the opening match of the Four Nations Tournament in La Manga, Spain.
Lytle appeared in the 77th minute of the match after the U.S. took a 2-0 lead in the second half.
A two-time NSCAA All-Region Second Team selection and team captain last year, Lytle is coming off of a banner senior season at Tech. The Las Cruces, N.M. native ended her career as the all-time assists leader with 27 and started all 19 matches last season. Lytle also ranks second in career shot attempts with 246 and fifth in career points with 55.
Lytle participated in U.S. national camps beginning at the age of 15 and later was selected to the U.S. U-20 team in 2008.
The U.S. women's U-23 national squad will compete in three matches at the Four Nations Tournament in La Manga.
