Red Raiders Tie For 10th In Hawaii

Led by freshman Clement Sordet, the Texas Tech Men's Golf team rounded out play in a tie for 10th place at the 2012 Ameri Ari at Waikoloa Beach Resort in Kona, Hawaii.
As a team, the Red Raiders posted a third and final round score of 289 to finish the three day event at 4-over, 868. Top-ranked Texas took home the team title with an impressive 30-under 834. No. 11 USC finished second at 25-under, 839 while No. 7 Stanford finished third at 20-under 844.
Sordet save his best golf of the tournament for today's final round as he shot a 69 and was able to climb up 13 spots from 26th after round two. Teammate Fin Ewing IV was the second highest finisher on the team as he ended the tournament tied for 60th at 4-over, 220.
Texas Tech returns to action on Feb. 13 at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio.
