TECH WELCOMES HOUSTON FOR NON-CONFERENCE THREE-GAME SERIES
Texas Tech will step out of Big 12 play this weekend as they host a three-game non-conference series against Houston, who travels to Lubbock for the first time since 1996 - the final year of the Southwest Conference. The Red Raiders are coming off a 7-1 victory on Wednesday over Dallas Baptist while improving to 8-1 this season in midweek games. Houston also won its midweek game, 4-3, against Lamar. Tech is now 16-6 at home this season while the Cougars enter the weekend 3-9-1 on the road.
