SEATTLE - Texas Tech wrapped up its preparations for the NCAA Washington Regional Thursday as the Red Raiders went through a two-hour practice at the Husky Softball Stadium.
"We had a good workout today and I think our team is ready," Tech head coach Shanon Hays said. "We'll let the team enjoy the city some tonight and then we will get focused tomorrow morning. Maryland is a good team so we'll need to have a good start."
The Red Raiders opened the workout inside the Dempsey Indoor Facility for batting practice before heading outdoors for work on the Husky Softball Stadium playing surface.
Tech, which is looking to advance past the regional round for the first time in school history, faces Maryland in the opening game at 5:30 p.m. CT Friday. The winner will go on to face either Harvard or Washington at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Red Raider fans can watch all the action from the Washington Regional as every game will be streamed for free on www.gohuskies.com. Texas Tech will also provide an online radio broadcast which can be located here
