LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech will complete play at the TCU Invitational Sunday with an 11 a.m. match against Montana at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium.
The Red Raiders (3-0-0) are coming off of a thrilling 1-0 shutout victory over Stephen F. Austin Friday night in their opening match of the weekend tournament. Freshman forward Janine Beckie provided the late heroics with a game-winning goal at the 89:16 mark to give Tech its third consecutive win to start the 2012 season.
Montana (1-2-0) dropped a late decision to host school TCU late Friday night 1-0.
Sunday's match will mark the first meeting between Texas Tech and the Grizzlies.
"They are physical, high-energy and just a very committed team," head coach Tom Stone said. "That is going make it tough on Sunday. We have got to be ready for that."
With the three straight victories to begin the year, the Red Raiders are off to their best start since 2010 when they won five straight to open the season.
The Red Raiders will return home Aug. 31 for a Friday night match with Nevada at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
