Big 12 Indoor Championships Postponed

The Big 12 Indoor Championships has been postponed due to inclement weather with event now beginning on Saturday.

AMES, Iowa - The Big 12 Conference office announced late Thursday night the postponement of 2013 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships at Iowa State University due to inclement weather.

The meet, scheduled to begin Friday morning at the Lied Recreation Center, will now begin Saturday morning and resume Sunday following the previous time schedule.

A massive winter storm moved across the Midwest Thursday with snow beginning to fall in the Ames area shortly after 4 p.m.

Central Iowa is expected to receive between 5-9 inches of snow overnight.
