Red Raiders No. 8 in Week 6 of USTFCCCA Rankings

The Red Raiders appear at No. 8 in Week 8 of the USTFCCCA Rankings.
LUBBOCK, Texas - For the third consecutive week the Red Raider track and field team appeared in the top-10 of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association computer rankings.
In Week 6 of the official rankings released Tuesday morning the Red Raiders checked in at No. 8 as the squad begins to eye the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships.
The Red Raiders finished fifth at the 2013 Big 12 Indoor Championships this weekend in Ames, Iowa marking the third top-five finish in the last four seasons while the squad scored its highest point total since 2008 with 76.
The Red Raiders climbed to No. 4 in the national computer rankings last week marking the highest indoor ranking in school history.
The Texas Tech track and field team will send a contingent of athletes across the country this weekend to compete in last chance meets ahead of the NCAA Indoor Championships scheduled for March 8-9 at the Randal-Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
