TECH WELCOMES NEW MEXICO STATE TUESDAY AT 6 PM FOR MIDWEEK ACTION
Texas Tech (18-22) will play its first home midweek game in over a month while hosting New Mexico State (23-18) on Tuesday, April 23 for a 6 p.m. first pitch at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. The last time Tech hosted a midweek game was a victory over No. 20 Arizona State on March 19. Tech snapped a nine-game losing streak on Sunday with a 16-5 run-rule victory over Kansas in eight innings. The Red Raiders have 10 of their final 14 games of the regular season remaining at home. New Mexico State has won four straight games, including a four-game road series sweep last weekend at Louisiana Tech. Tuesday marks the second meeting this season between Tech and NMSU after the Aggies defeated Tech with a 7-6 walk-off victory in Las Cruces on Monday, March 25. Texas Tech is 13-7 at home this season while New Mexico State is 6-10 on the road, including an 0-5 record on the road this season in midweek games.
