TEXAS TECH HOSTS FINAL HOME MIDWEEK GAME AGAINST DBU TUESDAY
Texas Tech (22-26) will close a five-game homestand and play its final home midweek game of the season on Tuesday, May 7 hosting Dallas Baptist (25-23) for a 3 p.m. game at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Tech is 5-0 at home in midweek games this season while the Patriots are coming off an impressive week with a midweek shutout over No. 10 Oklahoma (2-0) and winning two-of-three games at UT Arlington. The Red Raiders won the series opener over No. 19 Oklahoma State before dropping games two and three in a series last weekend in Lubbock. Tech's game with DBU is its last until May 15, taking the following week off to focus on spring semester final exams. Tech will play four of its final five games of the season at home while its only road game the rest of the regular season is at Arizona State on May 15 (8:30 p.m. CT). Tech is 16-9 at home this season while the Patriots are 12-11 on the road, but have won three of their last four road games.
