LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Texas Tech women's basketball team heads back out on the road this weekend for a top-25 game against No. 11 Oklahoma State at 12 p.m. Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla.
The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Oklahoma.
The Lady Raiders (6-10, 0-5 Big 12) are looking for their first conference win under head coach Candi Whitaker and first road win of the year. Tech has lost its last six games dating back to Dec. 22.
Junior guard Amber Battle leads the Lady Raiders into Stillwater after a career-high 32 points on Tuesday night against Kansas State. Battle is fourth in the Big 12 Conference in scoring with 18.2 points per game this season.
She was the first Lady Raider to score 30 points or more in a game since Patrice Edwards scored 33 against Baylor on Feb. 7, 2007.
The Cowgirls (15-1, 4-1) come into Saturday's game after two-straight road wins over No. 13 Iowa State and TCU.
Texas Tech and Oklahoma State are meeting for the 53rd time since the series began in 1980. The two teams have met 39 times as Big 12 Conference opponents since the league's inception in 1997. Tech has won five of the last seven meetings and won the last game in Stillwater, 64-59 on Jan. 2, 2013.
It will also be somewhat of a homecoming for Whitaker, who served on staff last season at Oklahoma State as the associate head coach. Whitaker also played two years at Seward College for OSU head coach Jim Littell.
