RED RAIDERS LOOK TO BUILD ON SUCCESS
Texas Tech returns to the friendly confines of Jones AT&T Stadium this weekend for a rivalry game with the University of Texas. The Red Raiders and Longhorns will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in front of a sold out crowd. Texas Tech announced a sellout back on Aug. 6, marking the earliest sellout for a game in school history. Fans looking for tickets are encouraged to use Vivid Seats, the official ticket resale partner for Texas Tech Athletics.
Texas Tech enters Saturday's game with a 3-5 overall record and a 1-4 mark in Big 12 play after suffering an 82-27 setback at TCU. The Longhorns also stand at 3-5 on the season after falling to No. 11 Kansas State on the road, 23-0.
Saturday's game will be televised nationally on Fox Sports 1. Tim Brando (Play-by-Play) and Brady Quinn (Analyst) will have the call live from Jones AT&T Stadium.
Fans will be able to tune to the radio broadcast from the Texas Tech Sports Network on one of 38 affiliates across the region. Brian Jensen returns to the broadcast booth as the play-by-play announcer for his 15th season and is joined by veteran John Harris who will be in his 32nd year of providing analysis. Chris Level rounds out the crew as the sideline reporter and is in his fifth season.

TEXAS TECH AND TEXAS
Rivals Texas Tech and Texas will square off for the 64th time on Saturday, marking one of the most played series in school history. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 48-15.
- Texas currently holds a five-game win streak in the series dating back to 2009. The Longhorns defeated the Red Raiders 41-16 on Thanksgiving night last year in Austin. Texas Tech's last win against the Longhorns was the thriller in Lubbock in 2008 when Michael Crabtree caught a last second touchdown pass to lift the Red Raiders to a 39-33 victory.
- Texas has won two-straight against the Red Raiders in Lubbock (2010 and 2012).
- Texas Tech is 3-0 all-time against Texas on Nov. 1. Tech's last win against the Longhorns in 2008 also fell on Nov. 1.
- Texas Tech will be looking to beat a first-year Texas coach again as the Red Raiders defeated a Mack Brown's first Texas team 42-35
