Beckie, the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, was recognized on the first team, the highest honor ever for a Red Raider, while Hinkle was selected to the second team. It is the first time in school history where two Red Raiders have received All-America accolades in the same season.
This is the second-straight season for Hinkle to garner All-America honors as she was a third team selection a year ago. Beckie was previously named a second team All-American in 2012 following her freshman season.
The recognition comes after the duo helped lead Texas Tech to possibly its best season in program history. The Red Raiders, who were ranked in the top 10 of the NSCAA poll midway through the season, advanced to the third round of the NCAA Championship, the furthest Texas Tech had ever gone in the tournament.
Beckie ended the season leading the Big 12 with a career-high 17 goals, four of which that came in the NCAA Championship. Her 17 goals and 38 points ranked among the top 20 players in the country and finished second all-time in the Texas Tech single-season record book.
Hinkle, meanwhile, continued her reign as one of the top left backs in collegiate soccer as she boosted a Tech defense that recorded nine shutouts on the season. In addition to her work defensively, Hinkle added to Tech's attack with four assists as well.
Tech was the only program from the Big 12 to have multiple players represented on either the first or second team. Only four other programs nationally had multiple players on the two teams - UCLA, Florida State, Virginia and Texas A&M, three of which that are in this weekend's NCAA College Cup.
Beckie and Hinkle are the only two All-Americans in program history. Hinkle has the added honor of being an Academic All-American as well as she was named to the first team just a few weeks ago.
Hinkle is the first Texas Tech student-athlete to be named an All-American for work on the playing field and then an Academic All-American in the same season since former Red Raider baseball greats Clint Bryant and Matt Miller earned both honors in 1996.
