NO. 19 TECH TRAVELS TO ORU FOR MIDWEEK GAME
No. 19 Texas Tech (35-13, 11-7 Big 12) travels to the Sooner State for a midweek game at Oral Roberts (23-20, 10-11) on Tuesday, Apr. 29 at J.L. Johnson Stadium with first pitch set for 6 p.m. It marks the second time this season for the Red Raiders and Golden Eagles to meet while Tech swept a three-game series over ORU in Lubbock (3-2, 7-2, 4-1), Feb. 21-23, during the second week of the season. The Red Raiders have won three straight and 11 of their last 13 games dating back to Apr. 8. Tech is 10-3 in midweek games (2-2 road/neutral site) while dropping both midweek games last week at No. 24 New Mexico (4-3) and vs. No. 15 TCU (4-0) in Abilene, Texas. Tech is 8-1 playing on Tuesdays this season. ORU has faced four Big 12 opponents this season having knocked off Kansas, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, twice, with a 4-3 record against the Big 12 - its only losses coming against the Red Raiders in Lubbock. Last week the Golden Eagles knocked off No. 9 Oklahoma State, 15-8, in Tulsa. ORU is 14-8 at home this season and has won four of its last five games at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
