RED RAIDERS TRAVEL WEST TO FACE UTEP
Texas Tech will hit the road for the first time this season as the Red Raiders travel to far West Texas to face the UTEP Miners on Saturday night at the Sun Bowl in El Paso. Texas Tech won its season opener against Central Arkansas 42-35 in front of a sellout crowd of 60,778 at Jones AT&T Stadium. UTEP was also victorious in its opener as the Miners escaped Albuquerque with a 31-24 win over the Lobos at University Stadium. Tickets for Saturday's game at the Sun Bowl are available for purchase online at www.utepathletics.com. Saturday's game will be televised nationally by FOX Sports 1. Fans will be able to tune to the radio broadcast from the Texas Tech Sports Network on one of 38 affiliates across the region. Brian Jensen returns to the broadcast booth as the play-by-play announcer for his 15th season and is joined by veteran John Harris who will be in his 32nd year of providing analysis. Chris Level rounds out the crew as the sideline reporter and is in his fifth season.
