Beckie, a native of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, connected on the game-winning goal in both victories over No. 11 California and Abilene Christian which improved the Red Raiders to 7-0 on the year, their best start to a season in school history. Tech is one of just seven teams nationally with a perfect record.
This is the second national honor for Beckie so far in her career as she was named the NSCAA National Player of the Week as a freshman on Oct. 31, 2012. She is the only Red Raider in school history to garner a national player of the week award.
Beckie connected on the game-winner against Cal with just 32 seconds remaining in the second overtime period, heading in an Alli Murphy corner kick that resulted in Tech's second victory over a ranked opponent already this year.
Her final goal came Sunday against Abilene Christian where she broke up a scoreless match with a goal just 24 seconds into the second half. It was her 13th career game-winner, the most in school history, and the 30th goal of her career, moving her into a tie for second all-time in the Tech record book.
Beckie currently ranks among the top-five in the Big 12 Conference with her four goals already this season. She is also tied for the league high in game-winning goals with three, a category she also ranks tied for fifth in nationally.
Beckie was previously named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in her career on Tuesday. She was also a member of Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week as well.
The Red Raiders return to the road this weekend, traveling to the Oklahoma State Invitational where Tech will face Tulsa at 5 p.m. Friday and then Memphis at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
