RED RAIDERS LOOK TO REBOUND IN MANHATTAN
Texas Tech will look to rebound from its setback in the Big 12 opener at Oklahoma State when the Red Raiders travel to Manhattan to face the Kansas State Wildcats. Kickoff has been set for 6 p.m. and the game will be televised nationally on ESPNU, marking just the second appearance for Tech on the all college sports network. Texas Tech brings a 2-2 overall record and an 0-1 mark in Big 12 play to Manhattan this weekend after a disappointing 45-35 loss at Oklahoma State. The Red Raiders committed three turnovers and racked up 158 yards on 16 penalties in the loss. Meanwhile, Kansas State enters the game having steamrolled UTEP 58-28 on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The Wildcats are 3-1 overall and are tied for first place in the Big 12 Conference standings with a 1-0 record.
Fans will be able to tune to the radio broadcast from the Texas Tech Sports Network on one of 38 affiliates across the region. Brian Jensen returns to the broadcast booth as the play-by-play announcer for his 15th season and is joined by veteran John Harris who will be in his 32nd year of providing analysis. Chris Level rounds out the crew as the sideline reporter and is in his fifth season.

BACK TO BACK GAMES ON THE ROAD TO START BIG 12 CONFERENCE PLAY
Texas Tech will be playing back-to-back road games to start Big 12 Conference play for just the fourth time. Tech opened Big 12 action last week at Oklahoma State (L, 35-45) and will face the Wildcats on Saturday in Manhattan. The last time Tech played back-to-back Big 12 road games to start the year was in 2004 when Tech opened at Kansas (W, 31-30) and at No. 2 Oklahoma (L, 13-28). The other two occurrences fell in 2002 (at No. 23 Texas A&M - W, 48-47; at Iowa State - L, 17-31) and in 1996 (at No. 21 Kansas State - L, 14-21; vs. Oklahoma State {Texas Stadium, Irving} - W, 31-3).
TEXAS TECH AND KANSAS STATE
- Texas Tech and Kansas State will be meeting for the 15th time on Saturday evening at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The Red Raiders lead the all-time series 8-6.
- The series dates back to 1933 when the Red Raiders scored a 6-0 win over the Wildcats in Lubbock.
