TECH HOSTS ARKANSAS IN FINAL TUNEUP BEFORE BIG 12 PLAY
Texas Tech will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a home date against the University of Arkansas. The Red Raiders and Razorbacks will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at Jones AT&T Stadium. The game will be televised regionally on ABC and tickets are available for purchase by logging on to www.texastech.com or by calling the athletics ticket office at (806) 742-TECH. Texas Tech is 2-0 on the season after defeating UTEP 30-26 late Saturday evening in El Paso while Arkansas stands at 1-1 after a dominating 73-7 win over Nicholls. Fans will be able to tune to the radio broadcast from the Texas Tech Sports Network on one of 38 affiliates across the region. Brian Jensen returns to the broadcast booth as the play-by-play announcer for his 15th season and is joined by veteran John Harris who will be in his 32nd year of providing analysis. Chris Level rounds out the crew as the sideline reporter and is in his fifth season.
CELEBRATE COTTON GAME - WE CLOTHE AMERICA
Saturday's game against Arkansas will mark the third annual "Celebrate Cotton Game" at Texas Tech. Texas Tech is partnering with the Texas High Plains Cotton industry in order to put a national focus on West Texas - the world leader in cotton production. Numerous displays around the stadium will educate fans on the cotton industry and several leaders from the cotton industry will be attending the game as special guests of the university.

- Texas Tech and Arkansas will be meeting for the 36th time on Saturday afternoon at Jones AT&T Stadium.
