LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team will play the second of its two-game road trip this weekend when the Lady Raiders take on No. 4/5 Texas at 12 p.m., Saturday at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin.
The game will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network (Uverse 609/1609HD, Suddenlink 91/291HD, Dish 407) with former Texas player Fran Harris and former Auburn coach Nell Fortner on the call along with Jane Slater courtside.
Tech (12-4, 2-2 Big 12) is coming off its first road win in the last two seasons after taking a 55-45 win at West Virginia on Wednesday. The Lady Raiders came back from their second-largest deficit of the season after falling behind by nine points in the first half. Tech outscored the Mountaineers 30-6 over the next 16 minutes to take a 15-point lead and never looked back.
Senior Amber Battle scored 20 points for her second consecutive game of 20 points or more after putting up 23 against Oklahoma. She is averaging 15.5 points per game in Big 12 Conference play.
Texas (13-2, 2-2) finds itself in two-game slide after conference losses at Iowa State (59-57) and at Oklahoma (70-59). But the Longhorns are a perfect 10-0 at home this season and have lost only two home games the last two seasons.
