Texas Tech Faces Oklahoma on Saturday

Texas Tech and Oklahoma face off for the second time this season on Saturday.

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team heads north to take on Oklahoma for the second time this season at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla.
The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest with Chad McKee and San Antonio Silver Stars general manager and head coach Dan Hughes on the call.
Tech (12-6, 2-4 Big 12) looks to end a two-game slide after its narrow loss on Wednesday to Kansas at home. It was only the second home loss this season for Tech.
The Lady Raiders scored 43 points and made seven 3-pointers while shooting 63 percent from the floor in the first half of Wednesday night's game. It was the highest offensive output in a half by Tech since scoring 44 in the second half last season against Kansas State.
Tech senior Kelsi Baker made an impact on both ends of the floor with 13 points and also took seven charges during the game to help force 22 Kansas turnovers. She took the most charges a game by a Lady Raider has taken 29 total this season.
Amber Battle (16 points), Baker (13) and Ivonne CookTaylor (12) each scored in double figures in the win.
Oklahoma (12-5, 6-0) extended its winning streak to seven games on Monday after a 73-54 win over Oklahoma State. The Sooners are attempting to win their eighth consecutive game for the first time since the 2008-09 season when the team won 20 straight.
The bench play has been an important piece as of late for Oklahoma, averaging 17.6 points in its last two games while playing 47 percent of the minutes for the team in Monday's win. Sophomore Gioya Carter and freshman Kaylon Williams have paced the offense for OU in Big 12 Conference play. The two have combined for more than 30 points and 12 rebounds per game in six conference contests.
