LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Texas Tech football program featured seven former players who were active on NFL rosters during Week 7 of the NFL season. Each week, TexasTech.com will recap the performances from the likes of Danny Amendola, Michael Crabtree and Louis Vasquez.
Jace Amaro (TE) -- New York Jets
Week 7 Matchup: New England 30, New York 23
Amaro will miss the entire 2015 season after being place on injured reserve following shoulder surgery. Amaro, who was injured in the preseason opener at Detroit, finished his 2014 rookie season tied for second on the Jets with 38 catches for 345 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Amaro played three seasons at Texas Tech (2011-13) and was drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Jets.

Week 7 Matchup: New England 30, New York 23
Amendola had eight receptions on nine targets on Sunday, for 86 yards, including a touchdown, the 12th of his career. The eight receptions were a season high for Amendola, who also set a season high in yardage last week. He added three kick returns for 83 yards in the game. Returning more punts again this week as well, Amendola had one return for 11 yards. He has 302 career catches for 2848 yards in his seven year career. Amendola played four seasons at Texas Tech (2004-07) before being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2008 by the Dallas Cowboys.
Michael Crabtree (WR) -- Oakland Raiders
Week 7 Matchup: Oakland 37, San Diego 29
Coming off a bye in week 6, Crabtree led Oakland in catches with six. One of those was a 25 yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. This was Crabtree's second touchdown of the season and gives him 28 for his career. He finished the day with 63 yards, giving him three consecutive weeks of over 50 yards receiving. Crabtree has now caught 374 passes for 4,645 yards and 27 touchdowns during his NFL career. Crabtree played two seasons at Texas Tech (2007-08) before the 49ers selected him with the 10th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Week 7 Matchup: St. Louis 24, Cleveland 6
At home versus Cleveland, Davis played special teams for the rams. Appearing on 20 of the 25 special teams snaps for the Rams. Davis has continued to play in every game for the Rams in the 2015 season to this point. Davis was a four-year letterman with the Red Raiders (2009-12) and then signed as an undrafted free agent with the Rams in 2013.
Bradley Marquez (WR) -- St. Louis Rams
Week 7 Matchup: St. Louis 24, Cleveland 6
Marquez appeared on special teams for the rams on 12 of their snaps on Sunday. Marquez has now played in all six 2015 regular season games for the Rams, and had a crucial onside kick recovery in week one. Marquez, a reserve wide receiver for the Rams who also plays a significant role on special teams, previously caught eight passes for 74 yards during the preseason to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. He played four seasons at Texas Tech (2010-14) before the Rams signed him as an undrafted free agent this past spring.
Manuel Ramirez (OL) -- Detroit Lions
Week 7 Matchup: Minnesota 28, Detroit 19
Ramirez saw limited playing time on Sunday but was in the game for three special teams' snaps versus the Vikings. Unable to follow up last week's first win of the season, Detroit lost this week. He was drafted by Detroit in the fourth round of the 2007draft. Ramirez played four seasons at Texas Tech (2003-06) before being selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Lions.

Week 7 Matchup: Bye
The Denver Broncos had a bye week in week 7 giving Vasquez some time to rest. Last week was the 59th-consecutive start for Vasquez. Over his 7 year career Vasquez has played in 92 games for both the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos. Vasquez played four seasons at Texas Tech (2005-08) before being selected in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.
LaAdrian Waddle (OL) -- Detroit Lions
Week 7 Matchup: Minnesota 28, Detroit 19
Waddle got his fourth start of the season for the Lions. Playing in all 54 of the offensive snaps for the day for Detroit. After missing the first two games of the season recovering from off season knee surgery Waddle has started 4 of the 5 since his return, seeing action in all 5 games.Waddle played four seasons at Tech (2009-12) before being signed by the Lions as an undrafted free agent.
