Lady Raider Basketball Releases TV Schedule

Texas Tech released the women's basketball TV schedule on Monday. The Lady Raiders, coached by Candi Whitaker, will have eight home televised games.

LUBBOCK, Texas --Texas Tech Athletics, in conjunction with Red Raider Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports, released the 2015-16 Lady Raider basketball TV schedule on Monday.The Lady Raiders will make seven home appearances on the school's third-tier network, Texas Tech TV on FOX Sports, to go along with one additional broadcast on Fox Sports 2. The games will be distributed across the FOX Sports platform for the fourth consecutive year.
"We're excited about the opportunity to showcase our team and our brand of basketball to a national audience," head coach Candi Whitaker said. "Texas Tech TV and FOX Sports give us a great avenue to broadcast our games across the West Texas region and the nation to all Lady Raider fans."
In the non-conference portion of the schedule, Tech's matchups with Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 21, 6:30 p.m.) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Dec. 20, 2 p.m.) will both be broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.
Tech will have five third-tier Big 12 broadcasts starting with the opener against TCU on Dec. 30, at 6:30 p.m. The Lady Raiders will appear on TV again versus Iowa State on Jan. 17, at 2 p.m., followed by broadcasts of games against Kansas State (Jan. 24, 2 p.m.), Kansas (Jan. 30, 5 p.m.) and Texas (Feb. 24, 6:30 p.m.).
These announcements are in addition to the Lady Raiders' Feb. 2 contest against West Virginia, which was given a national broadcast on FOX Sports 2. That game will tip at 6 p.m.
