Lady Raiders Celebrate Fan Appreciation Day

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech Lady Raider Basketball held a Fan Appreciation Day on Thursday evening, at the United Supermarkets Arena.

At the conclusion of practice, Whitaker held a Q&A with the fans, the players were introduced and there was a meet and greet on the court, where the players signed some autographs.
"We love the opportunity to interact with the fans like this," Whitaker said. "It gives us a chance to let them know how important they are to us. The fans are what make this program special--they always have and always will. They're a big part of what we're doing, so we enjoy this opportunity to thank them and have a chance for them to get to know our players better and have some fun with them."
The Lady Raiders will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 21, against Southeastern Louisiana. Tipoff at the United Supermarkets Arena is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.
