Tech Moves Up in Polls - Remains 5th in Baseball America

Texas Tech is currently ranked in three top-10 national polls, including fifth by Baseball America
LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech received three top-10 rankings on Monday while remaining at No. 5 in the country according to Baseball America. Tech was also tabbed No. 7 by Collegiate Baseball and No. 8 by the NCBWA.
The Red Raiders (4-0) swept a four-game series over San Francisco on opening weekend and now face a stretch of 11 games in 14 days beginning with their first midweek game of the season on Tuesday against Nevada at 2 p.m. at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
Tech stayed at No. 5 in the Baseball America top-25 poll while moving up four spots to No. 8 in the NCBWA poll and jumping two spots to No. 7 in the Collegiate Baseball top-30 rankings.
The Red Raiders' 4-0 start to the season kept them at No. 12 in Perfect Game's top-25 rankings and moved up one spot to No. 15 in D1Baseball.com's top-25 poll.
Dating back to last season, Tech has been ranked nationally in 20 consecutive weeks while its No. 5 ranking is its highest ranking since 1997 (No. 1).
