LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech returns home to take on Oklahoma State on Saturday in the final home game of the regular season for the Lady Raiders.
The women's game will be the second of a doubleheader with the men who also face Oklahoma State at 3 p.m. There will also be a Red Raider Alumni Basketball game in between the two home games giving fans plenty to watch a stick around for all day at United Supermarkets Arena.
Tech (15-13, 5-11 Big 12) looks to end a three game losing streak after falling 59-47 at Iowa State on Tuesday. Ivonne CookTaylor and Rayven Brooks led Tech with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Saturday will also be the final home game for three Lady Raider seniors - Kelsi Baker, Amber Battle and Audrisa Harrison. The senior celebration will be after the conclusion of the game.
Harrison was a big part of helping Texas Tech rebuild its roster in 2013, transferring after a successful two seasons at Blinn Community College where she averaged 15.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. Harrison started 19 games for Tech in 2013-14 while playing in 28 total games. She averaged 3.5 points per game and was third on the team in rebounds and fourth in free throws made. She scored her first double-double at Tech on Dec. 21, 2013 against Florida Atlantic with 11 points and 18 rebounds against the Owls. Her 18 rebounds tied the second-most in a game by a Tech junior alongside Sheryl Swoopes and Stacy Siebert.
Battle quickly became one of the key players in Texas Tech's lineup in 2013 after being one of the primary reserve players her first two seasons in Lubbock. She has started all 52 games her last two seasons while averaging 16.1 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. She earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors in 2014 after finishing the season as the only guard in the league in the top 10 in scoring, rebounding and steals. Battle is the only Lady Raider in the last 12 years to score 30 points or more in game twice. She enters Saturday's game with 994 career points, attempting to become the 31st Lady Raider to score 1,000 career points.
No face in the last five years has been more associated with Texas Tech basketball than Kelsi Baker. The fifth-year senior returned in 2014 after sitting out a season with an Achilles tear and once again became a regular starter for the Lady Raiders. Baker has the most experience on the Tech roster with 73 career starts while playing 2,349 minutes in 124 games. She has 896 points, 516 rebounds, 143 assists, 87 steals and 37 blocks entering Saturday's final home game of the regular season. This season, she became known for her defensive skills, as well, taking 45 charges in 28 games played.
