Texas Tech Jumps To No. 17 In ITA Poll

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech climbed two spots to No. 17 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association women's rankings released this week.
The Lady Raiders moved from 19th to 17th after winning a pair of matches last week. Texas Tech topped No. 22 Wichita State, 4-0, and downed Louisiana Tech, 6-1.
Sophomore Lynn Kiro is currently ranked No. 59. She has been ranked for 11 consecutive rankings periods, dating back to June of last season.
Freshman Sarah Dvorak has been ranked for nine consecutive weeks and is currently No. 65. She began the spring ranked No. 89 and has climbed 24 spots.
Joining Kiro and Dvorak is Sabrina Federici, who has won 12 straight, is 17-2 on the season and earned her first national ranking this week. Federici enters the rankings at No. 120.
Texas Tech returns to action on Friday in Kansas on Friday, as the Lady Raiders face Kansas in Lawrence on Friday at noon and Kansas State on Sunday at 11 a.m.
