Texas Tech Ranked 17th in the Country

Texas Tech is ranked 17th by NCBWA.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech (16-8) is ranked 17th in the country according to this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association, along with three other top-25 rankings.

Tech split a midweek series at home with Oral Roberts last week and won its Big 12 opener at Oklahoma in Norman while going 2-3 on the week.

Tech also received national rankings from Baseball America (No. 18), USA Today Coaches' (No. 21) and Perfect Game (No. 23).

Dating back to last season, Tech has been ranked nationally 25 consecutive weeks while its highest ranking this season came at No. 5 (Baseball America - 4 straight weeks).
