LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech University and the University of Arizona have agreed to a two-game, home-and-home football series beginning in 2019 in Tucson and concluding in 2020 in Lubbock.
The series will begin on Sept. 14, 2019 at Arizona Stadium in Tucson and conclude the following season on Sept. 19, 2020 at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock.
The two teams will be meeting for the first time since the 1989 season opener, when the Red Raiders earned a 24-14 win over the 20th-ranked Wildcats. Texas Tech holds a convincing 26-4-2 lead in the all-time series that dates back to 1932. Texas Tech and Arizona were Border Conference foes from 1932-1956.
Texas Tech's last appearance at Arizona Stadium came at the end of the 1995 season when the Red Raiders defeated the Air Force Academy (55-41) in the Copper Bowl.
