Red Raiders In 10th After Round One

Senior Matias Dominguez shot a 1-under, 71 in the first round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters and is tied for 16th overall while the Red Raiders stand in 10th place as a team at 2-over, 290.
Texas Tech is just four strokes out of fifth place and 14 strokes back of fourth-ranked Texas. The Longhorns lead the field after day one at 12-under, 276.
Tuesday's second round will get underway at 10 a.m. (CT).
Dominguez was the only Red Raider under par for the day and did so by turning in five birdies. UNLV's Redford Bobbitt leads the individual leaderboard at 7-under, 65, six strokes ahead of Dominguez.
Sophomore Hannes Ronneblad shot even par 72 and is tied for 27th.
