No. 10 Texas Tech to Compete in Aggie Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - The 10th-ranked Texas Tech Men's Golf team returns to action on Saturday at the Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas.
Texas Tech is coming off its first title of the 2015 season following a dominating performance in the Lone Star Invitational. Sophomore Hannes Ronneblad earned his first collegiate win at 9-under-par for the 54-hole event.
In his final tune-up before heading to prestigious Augusta National, Matias Dominguez will return to the scorecard after missing the Lone Star Invitational to participate in the Web.com Chile Classic where he finished tied for 30th place overall. The Chilean native and reigning Latin America Amateur Champion is set to begin play on April 9th in Augusta as the first active Red Raider to ever play in the Masters.
Clement Sordet continues his stellar senior campaign leading the Red Raiders with a 70.3 stroke average and ranks 20th nationally in this week's Golfweek standings. The senior has recorded six top 10 finishes in nine tournaments en route to being named one of 24 candidates for the prestigious Ben Hogan Award, given to the top men's NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfer.
The Red Raiders will be one of seven teams in the decorated field ranked in the top 50 released this week by GolfStat.com.
The tournament will be held at Traditions Club (par 72; 7,146 yards). This year's 12-team field includes: No. 34 Arkansas, No. 22 California, Kent State, No. 7 LSU, No. 50 Michigan, New Mexico State, North Texas, No. 9 Oklahoma, Princeton, No. 41 Texas A&M, No. 10/11 Texas Tech and UT-San Antonio.
The three round, 54-hole tournament will begin on Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. and conclude on Sunday with the final round of play. Live scoring will be available at www.golfstat.com.
