Texas Tech Jumps to 18th in the Country

Tadlock and the Red Raiders have been nationally ranked for 29 consecutive weeks dating back to 2014.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech (25-15) moved up one spot in the national rankings while receiving a No. 18 spot in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association top-30 poll, the organization announced this afternoon.
Tech went 3-1 last week while defeating Abilene Christian on the road in midweek action and winning 2-of-3 games on the road at K-State - the Red Raiders first series win over the Wildcats in Manhattan since 2009.
Tech moved up three spots to No. 22 in Baseball America's top-25 rankings, the Red Raiders climbed three spots to 24th in Collegiate Baseball's rankings and the Red Raiders re-entered the USA Today Coaches' poll at No. 24.
Dating back to last season, Tech has been ranked nationally 29 consecutive weeks while its highest ranking this season came at No. 5 (Baseball America - 4 straight weeks).
Texas Tech will continue its five-game road swing with a neutral site midweek game in Midland, Texas on Tuesday, April 21 taking on Abilene Christian with a 6:30 p.m. first pitch at Security Bank Ballpark, home of the Oakland Athletics' Double-A affiliate, Midland Rockhounds.
