Lady Raiders Enter Postseason Ranked No. 16

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech slipped one spot to No. 16 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association Top 25 poll released on Tuesday.
Miami (Fla.) leaped past Texas Tech, moving from No. 16 to No. 15 after a pair of wins over the weekend.
The Lady Raiders have now been ranked for 120 consecutive matches, dating back to Feb. 12, 2011. Texas Tech has been ranked in the ITA Top 25 for the past 14 matches and have spent 67 of the 120 matches ranked inside the Top 25.
For Lady Raider head coach Todd Petty, this is the highest Texas Tech has ever been ranked entering the Big 12 Championships. The previous best mark was No. 17 in 2013. Individually, senior Kenna Kilgo is ranked No. 69, while sophomore Lynn Kiro is No. 73. Freshman Sarah Dvorak enters the Big 12 Championships ranked No. 114. In doubles, Kilgo and freshman Gabriela Talaba are ranked No. 47.
Texas Tech, the No. 2 overall seed in the women's Big 12 Championship, will begin the postseason on Friday at noon in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Waco. The Lady Raiders will face the winner of the No. 41 Oklahoma and West Virginia.
