Texas Tech Places Three on Academic All-Big 12

Sophomore Hannes Ronneblad earns first team All-Big 12 academic honors, as announced by the conference.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Three student athletes from the Texas Tech men's and women's golf teams were honored on Friday by the Big 12 Conference office by being placed on the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 Team.
Men's golfer Hannes Ronneblad along with women's golfers Elin Arvidsson and Stephanie Bertelsen each earned first team honors alongside 57 others.
This was the first honor for Ronneblad and Bertelsen while Arvidsson earned her third consecutive honor after being named to the second team last season and first team in 2013.
The men's team is comprised of 26 first team selections and seven, second team members, while the women's team includes 24 first team honorees and three second team individuals.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
