No. 23 Texas Tech Faces ORU in Midweek Road Game

LEADING OFF
No. 23 Texas Tech (19-13) returns to the road for its second straight midweek game away from home while facing the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (20-10) for the third time this season on Tuesday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at J.L. Johnson Stadium in Tulsa. The Red Raiders and Golden Eagles split a midweek series in Lubbock three weeks ago with ORU taking the series opener, 9-7, and Tech winning the second game, 7-4. Tech lost its midweek game last week at New Mexico (6-5) and dropped 2-of-3 games at home last weekend against No. 2 TCU while the series finale was played in front of Tech's first capacity sellout of the season (4,432 fans) at Rip Griffin Park. ORU, meanwhile, is hot having won 10 of its last 11 and 14 of its last 17 games during the past month. The Golden Eagles are 3-1 against Big 12 opponents this season with wins over Oklahoma (5-1 on Mar. 10), Oklahoma State (4-2 on Mar. 31) and Tech. ORU is 14-6 at home this season.
