Texas Tech Receives No. 25 National Ranking

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech (29-10) received a No. 25 national ranking in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association top-30 poll, the organization announced this afternoon.
Tech is coming off a series win over Texas on the road in Austin last weekend. Head coach Tim Tadlock became the first coach in Big 12 history to win his first two series over Texas in Austin (2013, 2015). The Red Raiders won the second and third game of the series to win their 28th and 29th games of the season.
Dating back to season, Tech has been ranked nationally 31 consecutive weeks while its highest ranking this season came at No. 5 (Baseball America - 4 straight weeks).
The Red Raiders will be off this week for spring semester final exams and will complete their regular season schedule with a three-game series at West Virginia, May 14-16, in Morgantown, W. Va. It marks the first time since 1994 that Tech has played its final two conference series on the road.
