Texas Tech Set to Make 14th Straight NCAA Appearance

No. 9 Texas Tech set to host NCAA Regional on May 14-16 at the Rawls Golf Course.

LUBBOCK, Texas - The ninth-ranked Texas Tech Men's Golf team has secured its 14th consecutive bid to the NCAA Tournament and for the first time in school history, will have the opportunity to host the NCAA Regional held May 14-16 at The Rawls Golf Course.
The Rawls Course has been named the No. 4 collegiate course in the nation by Golfweek Magazine and the No. 2 course in Texas by Golfweek.
Now with 14 consecutive NCAA trips, the Red Raiders continue to hold the longest active postseason streak on campus and the second longest in school history. The women's basketball team made 16 straight trips to the NCAA Tournament from 1990-2005.
Texas Tech will be the No. 2 seed in the Lubbock Regional and is one of six teams from the Big 12 Conference in this year's field of 81. Texas is the top seed in the regional followed in order by Texas Tech, Auburn, North Florida, California, Houston, Louisville, Duke, Southeastern Louisiana, Purdue, Georgia State, UC-Irvine and Charleston Southern.
The top five teams from the Lubbock Regional will advance to the NCAA Championships held May 29-June 3 at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. The last time Texas Tech advanced to the NCAA Championships was 2013 where the Red Raiders tied for 14th place overall.
The Red Raiders are led by senior Clement Sordet who has earned eight top 10 finishes in the last 11 tournaments including a third-place medal at the Big 12 Conference Championship en route to his second straight All-Tournament team honor.
