Clark's selection marks the third-consecutive year where he has appeared on the Preseason All-Big 12 team. Robertson and Symmank were both recognized for the first time in their respective careers.
The preseason team, which is selected by a vote of media members who regularly cover the league, was announced in advance of next week's Big 12 Conference Media Days which will be held July 20-21 in Dallas. Texas Tech will be represented at the Big 12 Media Days on Monday.
Le'Raven Clark was named to the All-Big 12 Preseason Team for a third-straight season on Wednesday.
Robertson returns for his senior season after leading the Big 12 with 12 sacks in 2014 to go along with team highs in total tackles (81), tackles for loss (14.5-74), forced fumbles (three) and quarterback hurries (seven). His 12 sacks ranked sixth nationally and were the most for a Red Raider since Brandon Sharpe recorded 19.0 in 2009. A native of Longview, Texas, Robertson is already a member of the Butkus Award watch list (nation's top linebacker) and is also a candidate for two national defensive player of the year awards in the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Chuck Bednarik Award.
Symmank, meanwhile, heads into his final season as one of the top punters in the country after ranking third in the Big 12 with a 42.6 yards-per-punt average in 2014. A Ray Guy Award candidate (nation's top punter), Symmank earned All-Big 12 honorable mention accolades last season and is also a two-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree. Symmank, a native of McKinney, Texas, concluded the 2014 season with 54 punts for 2,303 yards (42.6 average), 24 fair catches, 17 punts inside the 20-yard line, eight punts of 50-yards or more and five touchbacks without a blocked punt. Symmank also serves as Texas Tech's kickoff specialist.
Texas Tech opens its 2015 season on Sept. 5 by hosting Sam Houston State at Jones AT&T Stadium. Season tickets are still on sale and can be purchased by calling 806-742-TECH or by visiting www.texastech.com.
