"We're just excited for the game," Kingsbury said of this Saturday's season opener with Sam Houston State. "It's been a long off-season, but we're excited to watch how a lot of these young guys that were thrown into the fire last year and how they've grown up over the course of eight months."
In addition to Kingsbury, first-year defensive coordinator David Gibbs and offensive coordinator Eric Morris also spent time at the podium along with senior defensive end Branden Jackson and senior running back DeAndre Washington.
The Red Raiders officially open the 2015 season on Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff against Sam Houston State.
