October 24, 2016 | Football
Limited tickets are still available for Texas Tech’s Nov. 5 season finale against Texas
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech will close its home schedule with an 11 a.m. kickoff against in-state rival Texas on Nov. 5, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday afternoon. Television coverage will be provided nationally on FOX Sports 1.
Â
The Texas game will be the seventh time this season where the Red Raiders have appeared on a FOX network, including each of the previous five home games inside Jones AT&T Stadium.
Â
Texas Tech will honor its senior class prior to its 65 all-time meeting against the Longhorns. The Red Raiders claimed their first victory over Texas in Austin a year ago, defeating the Longhorns, 48-45, thanks in part to 173 rushing yards from DeAndre Washington and 372 yards through the air from Patrick Mahomes II.
Â
Limited tickets are still remaining for the Texas game. Tickets can be purchased online or by contacting the Texas Tech Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH.
Â
Prior to facing the Longhorns, Tech will first have to travel to Fort Worth to take on TCU this Saturday. Kickoff for that game is slated for 2:30 p.m. on ESPN2 as well as the Texas Tech Sports Network.
