Texas Tech Track & Field Athletes Garner High School All-American Accolades

Two athletes secured the top times in their respective rankings in the United States.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Five student athletes and two signees were named High School All-Americans in the December publication of Track & Field News. All athletes ranked by Track and Field News were top-five in the United States.
Three athletes earned individual honors and four earned their recognitions for team relay performances. Individual honors were received by freshmen Norman Grimes and Brianna Johnson as well as signee Kaylor Harris.
Grimes is the only athlete in the 2016 All-American class with multiple recognitions from Track and Field News. The recognitions are due to his securing the top performances amongst those ranked in the category with times of 36.33/50.50 in the 300H/400H.

Brianna Johnson: Triple Jump (Klein Oak HS)
Ardran Carr: 4X400 (Arlington Bowie HS)
I'Shunique Hamilton: 4X100 (Cedar Hill HS)
Signees:
Kaylor Harris: 100M (Mesquite Horn HS)
Chloe Cavazos: 4X200 (Desoto HS)
Texas Tech will begin their Track & Field season Saturday, January 14th at the Commodore Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.
