In addition, Dr Pepper Ballpark will be the fourth professional stadium to host the Red Raiders during the regular season, joining Minute Maid Park (Shriners College Classic -- Houston Astros), Globe Life Park (Texas Rangers) and Security Bank Ballpark (Double-A Midland RockHounds). Tech could potentially add a fifth professional stadium to that list if the Red Raiders advance to the Big 12 Championship which is held at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
Tickets for the Oral Roberts game will go on sale Wednesday morning at RidersBaseball.com. General admission seats will cost $8 for the game while parking near Dr Pepper Ballpark will be $5.
Tech and Oral Roberts will also meet May 10 in Tulsa for the Red Raiders' final non-conference game of the regular season. The two schools have met seven times since the start of the 2014 season with the Red Raiders going 5-2 in those games.
The Red Raiders open the 2016 season in less than two weeks as Tech hosts Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the start of a four-game series on Feb. 19. First pitch on Opening Day is slated for 2 p.m. inside Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
Season tickets are still on sale and can be purchased by visiting the Texas Tech Ticket Office website or by calling 806-742-TECH.
