Lady Raiders Look to Build Momentum at SMU Invitational

Lady Raiders set to take on 21 team field at SMU Invitational Firday.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech women's golf is set to make their ninth appearance in the 2015-16 season at the SMU Invitational hosted by SMU at the Dallas Athletic Club on April 1st and 2nd.The Lady Raiders will look to ride the momentum built from their first place finish at the Henssler Financial Invitational, in which Tech's Lauren Mason tied for first place, on Tuesday afternoon.
This weekend's competition will be held at the Dallas Athletic Club. The course is a 6,159-yard par 72, located just a 25-minute drive from the heart of the SMU campus.
Tech will compete as part of a loaded 21 team field which includes No. 13 Washington, No. 18 UNLV, No. 36 SMU, No. 45 Tulane, New Mexico State, Florida International, UNT, UTSA and Central Arkansas. Texas Tech will not be the only Big 12 team in attendance; The Lady Raiders will also be facing No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 16 Iowa State, Kansas, TCU, Kansas State and Baylor.
In action for Texas Tech will be No. 8 Gabby Barker, joined by teammates Lauren Mason, Mami Yamamoto, Sarah Brown, and Kimmy Hill.
Tech will tee off for the first two rounds of play at 8 a.m. Friday, followed by round three Saturday morning. The Lady Raiders will play 36 holes over the two-day event. Live scoring of the tournament will be available through golfstat.com
