BRYAN, Texas -- Through nearly two rounds of play on Saturday, the Texas Tech men's golf team sits in 11th place at the Aggie Invitational, in Bryan, Texas.
On the first 18 holes of the day, the Red Raiders shot a 21-over 309, featuring just nine birdies between the Tech starting five. However, Tech would rebound in round two, posting a score of 2-over before play was suspended due to darkness.
That gives Tech a total score of 23-over at the moment, but just 10 shots out of the top five.
Three Red Raiders, Hurly Long, Hannes Ronneblad and Ivan Ramirez, currently sit at five-over par in a tie for 26th place. Ramirez finished his second round at even-par, while Ronneblad and Long have yet to finish round two. Ronneblad had birdied three of his last four holes before play was halted.
Wes Artac joins Ronneblad, Long and Ramirez in the top 50 individually, in a tie for 42nd place, at 8-over. Jordan Sanders, playing as an individual, occupies in 71st place, at 17-over.
The Red Raiders will complete second-round play tomorrow at 7 a.m., and the third round is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
